The AmazonBasics Tilt Mount will help you get the most out of your space and will give you the perfect viewing angle. The mount attaches your TV to your wall and provides up to a 15° tilt.
Included with the mount is a convenient cord management system that neatly gathers and routes the cords from your TV for a clean look.
Constructed from durable cold-rolled steel, this mount will support up to 200-pounds. Cold rolling is a process where steel is formed without the use of heat. Heated steel is much more malleable and easy to work with, but the heat process degrades the metal. Cold-rolled steel, however, makes for a much stronger, much more durable TV mount that will keep your TV securely attached to the wall.
All AmazonBasics mounts are powder coated, which means that a layer of dry "paint" is applied to the metal parts and baked to form a permanent outer "skin." The coating is extremely durable and will not flake off or allow moisture in, meaning it will not rust and will not emit any Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).
All AmazonBasics products come with all the hardware you need for installation. This mount comes with a built-in bubble level for precise TV positioning, a stud finder to ensure accurate attachment, multiple types of mounting hardware for a variety of surfaces, and extension arms to make certain the mount will work with your TV.
This AmazonBasics product features recyclable Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging. It comes without excess packaging materials, such as hard plastic clamshell casings, plastic bindings, or wire ties. This packaging is designed to be opened without the use of a box cutter or knife, and it will protect your product just as well as traditional packaging. Products with Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging can frequently be shipped in their own boxes, without an additional shipping box, saving on resources and reducing waste.

This review is from: AmazonBasics Universal Tilt TV Wall Mount for 34- to 65-Inch Displays (Electronics)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The AmazonBasics TV Wall Mount is a well made product. Compared to some older and more expensive mounts, the metal is thicker and more sturdy. (I'm not giving a link because specifications that changed "without notice" made some products different from what I bought it in the past, and I don't mean in a good way.) Although it's true that even thinner wall plates should be more than capable of holding TVs of the rated size and weight, any flex to the metal can defy attempts to level things.
The Amazon mount's wall plate is made of steel with a mostly solid backing, and openings for mounting holes. One of the missing "features" of this product are cutouts in the plate for wall outlet plates, or other openings for in-wall cable connections. What this means is that Amazon did not remove steel and promote it as a feature, and you will still have plenty of room behind a TV to install an outlet above or below the backing plate. The distance between the leftmost and rightmost mounting holes is about 33 inches. Most wall studs are spaced 16 inches apart. Some competing mounts have wall plates that are only slightly wider than 16 inches, assuring that you can mount them between studs. But what if the center of where you want your TV is not exactly between two studs? With 33 inches, the plate will be in front of at least two 16 inch wall studs no matter where you position it. You will have the ability to slide the TV to the left or right when hanging it from the backing plate. Chances are you won't want to slide it so far that the backing plate shows. That won't be an issue with very large TVs, nor a possibility with 34 inch wide TVs. The absolute limit will go by the distance between mounting brackets. Nevertheless, you should have no problem finding an appropriate place relative to the studs in your wall, and having the plate several inches off center compared to the TV's final position will not be a problem. With thinner wall plates, having the bolts going into studs on one side and having no bolts on the other side could cause the plate to twist slightly, and although the difference is hard to notice where the mount is, over the width of a 60 inch TV, the deviation can be noticeable. That situation can be frustrating because rechecking the wall plate might confirm it was level, making it hard to tell why the TV was not level. The Amazon mount comes with almost everything you need. You will still need an electric drill, or a good quality impact driver, and appropriate drill bits for drywall or masonry. You might need a hammer, and you will need your own pencil. But the mount has a built in bubble level, so it's easier to get it right the first time when you mark the holes. There is a stud finder included with the package so you can easily determine where to put the mounting holes. There are not only anchors for wooden studs, there are also concrete anchors for use on masonry or brick walls. Once the wall plate is mounted, it's simply a matter of installing the brackets and hanging the TV. The brackets have plenty of mounting holes, bolts and spacers for different size TV cabinets, and extension brackets in case you need larger mounting brackets. Installing the brackets should be relatively easy, and requires nothing but a Phillips screwdriver. There are competing mounts that offer the option of safety Torx bolts. They have no effect on function, but would make it harder to remove the TV from the bracket with standard tools. This is one minor disadvantage of the Amazon mount, but safety Torx bolts could be purchased independently. Having a TV unscrewed from a bracket by a thief is not a major concern for most people. Making sure the brackets stay on the mount is what's important. Amazon's approach is different from many other manufacturers' and there are no bottom anchor bolts. Amazon's brackets have pivoting bottom latches instead, and each latch has holes that line up so you could add small padlocks or even pop rivets. For practical purposes, this provides all the protection you need for anchoring the TV, and offers a potential margin of protection against a thief without bolt cutters or a drill (as opposed to one without a safety Torx driver kit.) It also means that you can latch the brackets in seconds instead of trying to fumble with an Allen wrench or screwdriver in an awkward location. With the TV's brackets latched to the wall mounts, it's still possible to move the TV from side to side, up to the stops on the end of the backing plate. During normal use, there is no risk of the TV moving unless it is lifted slightly on both sides. The other direction of motion is the degree of tilt. Rather than traditional locking knobs, which can be awkward, the Amazon mount has enough resistance that you can tilt a TV to a desired position and have it stay in place. The amount of tension can be adjusted, and there are also bolts that can be used to lock the TV to a specific tilt angle. The latter is optional but will stop others from readjusting things for you. There are other mounts on the market that offer the ability to tilt a TV to the left or right, or extend it up to 18 inches from the wall. Such mounts also make it easier to work with wires and connectors. I would not call those competing mounts, but alternative designs that might be worth considering if they better fit your needs. Overall, this is an easy to install and well made mount that I'd consider superior to others that could cost twice as much. If you want to tell how well this AmazonBasics mount is made compared to a name brand one, all you have to do is pick up the box. Ones I've used for twice the price weighed barely more than half as much. Paying for metal instead of glossy packaging makes all the difference.

I bought this for my parent's new 40" LCD. Since they're my parents, I was also nice enough to install it for them. This is the third TV that I have wall-mounted and was by far the easiest. The instructions were straightforward and everything you needed was included (except for the drill and drill bit of course). The backplate even had a built in level and there was a stud finder in the box! After mounted, the TV feels really sturdy and adjustment is pretty easy. I would definitely buy this mount again.

I was excited to see that Amazon had their own mounts and got one. But unfortunately, after trying it out, we concluded that it was really not the best option. To be fair, it is a substantial mount. The shipping label on the box had the weight at 22lbs. So you get a lot of metal for your money. But that is actually one of its problems.
On the wall, this mount is 35" wide and sticks out from the wall over 3". So it is very big. So big that it is actually slightly wider than our 37" TV. And it just didn't look right to have a TV that is only 1.2" thin and then have the mount stick out over 3". Amazon states that the mount is for 34-65" TVs. It was clearly too wide for our 37" TV and even on a 40" or 42" TV, if you stood to the side at all you will still easily see the mount behind the TV. Seeing the mount is not that big of a deal, but when you add in how far out it came, it was enough that it got a quick veto from my wife. We had two TVs and the mount would have fit better behind our 55" TV, but we still could not use it because the solid wall piece covered the electrical outlet. I ended up buying other mounts that still easily handled the size of our 55" and still offered the tilt option, but which were much better concealed behind the TVs and only stuck out about half as much. The wall piece does not have any holes in it large enough for an outlet or cables. It means you cannot put the cables into the wall without making another hole in your wall either above or below the wall plate. In our case, we had an electrical outlet already centered in the space above the fireplace and so if you centered the mount in the space, it covered the outlet. Maybe hiding cables in the wall is a future project, but get a mount that gives you that option. The comments above cover the biggest issues and are why we could not use the mount, but there were some others: The wood screws that go into the wall are really long but skinny and even though I predrilled, I snapped off one of the bolt heads during the install. The built in bubble level is not accurate, so use your own judgement or get a different level.. The manual is like a book. Simpler instructions with bigger pictures would improve things. The mount does come with a stud finder which is a good idea. But ours came with dead batteries and they are the little button kind so we didn't have any extra and I didn't bother to go find more. I just used my magnetic stud finder instead. If you have a very big or very heavy TV, then you might appreciate this mount. But for today's thinner and lighter TVs (ours were 37" and 55"), you can get a much cleaner, closer to the wall, cable friendly, option from a number of simpler (and also less expensive) mounts with accessories that work.
