This review is from: The Amazonian Chronicles (Hardcover)
With centuries and a continent of subject matter to choose from, the authors pick egregious examples of slaughter and exploitation of the South American Indians. Good information on the daily routine of rubber-tappers. The authors also prove that murder is routine. A discussion of the snake in native mythology gets much attention. With such a broad topic, it's the neat stuff that has made the cut into the book.

The last 30+ pages are a travel narrative with lots of adventure and no narcissism. Engrossing.
