The lamp is beautiful and just the right size. It deserves five stars but the cost of shipping is too high.

I have purchased several lanterns in this style in different sizes and styles, and this is by far the most authentic looking. It is very well made. It is perfectly proportioned (unlike others which look cheap or awkward, plastic painted "glass", cheap, bent metal, too skinny or too tall). Either candlelit or sunlit from behind, the color is so alluring. The metal is beautiful as well, overall a very quality product. I just wish it were available in other colors, this would be beautiful as a colored grouping!

Well made and very pretty. I can fit two column candles or four sticks in each, which you need to produce the pretty lantern effect. Just make sure you use this properly. It's meant to be hanged or placed as a mood setter, not carried like a lantern.

I ordered this lantern because of it's color and shape. It looked good in the item description picture and I hoped it would look as good on my book shelf.
It is simply beautiful. I got the package this afternoon and was surprised to discover it's quite a bit bigger than I had thought. I may have to sit it somewhere other than the bookshelf, but size aside, it is just beautiful. The look of the metal and the amber glass just makes it feel like I've had it for ages, that it's rooted in antiquity and culture. I put two small tealight candles inside of it and it glows a beautiful amber. I could just stare at the lamp and get lost in the beautiful light that emanates from it.

As for quality, everything looks very well made. The glass seems solid, the frame is sturdy, and even the little door and slide lock is sturdy. Overall, a very solid, high quality lantern.

I highly recommend this lantern for anyone who wants a touch of eastern culture and beauty in their home.

I researched several sites looking for Moroccan Lanterns. I'd chose Amazon because I have an account through them. I'd purchased the lantern and notice a $10.00 shipping charge in the confirmation email. The Moroccan Lantern was priced at $19.20 and $0.00 shipping fees. It cost me $30.00 for one Moroccan Lantern where I could have bought the exact same one for half the cost from another website. I've tried to cancel the order about 15 minutes after the purchase was made. Amazon stated I would have to contact Furniture Creations to cancel or get a refund for the shipping. I've called and sent email to Furniture Creations and was informed that I would have to contact Amazon. What a headache Furniture Creations nor Amazon wanted to take responsibility for the misleading ad. Would I shop on Amazon again...? I THINK NOT.

The lantern is bigger than I expected it to be and it looks really good. My wife loves it. I can see how shipping can be a problem, because a piece of glass had to be reattaced to it, but other than that it is great.

When I received the box, I heard right away the sound of broken glass inside...sure enough when I opened the packaging, one of the large glass pieces had fallen out of place, thankfully it was not broken, however one of the smaller glass pieces from the bottom was shattered and unsalvagable. Probably some more secure packaging would have prevented the pieces from coming loose, and ultimately one of them breaking. I am not returning it, just going to put the missing glass piece section towards the back where you won't see it. Otherwise its a nice piece, very large and when lit with a candle casts a nice color and pattern on the walls due to the cutouts.

I'm using these lanterns for centerpieces at a banquet, and I'm so pleased with them. With a candle glowing inside they give off such a beautiful, warm glow. The amber glass is a red-amber and is pretty much as depicted online. The metal is fairly heavy-weight and has an aged, brownish-rusty appearance (without actually being rusty). I think they would be great to use out on the patio for a relaxing atmosphere. They arrived quickly and were packed securely - no breakage or scratches.

This is nicely constructed and has beautiful glass colors. Although shipping is pretty high, the overall price is worth the atmosphere you will get with this lantern. I use tea candles and it is really pretty. Shipping was excellent with solid packing.
