It works but it takes time....,
By Belle (Bradenton, Fl) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ambi Fade Cream, Normal Skin, 2 oz. (Misc.)
The lighter your skin(like me)the longer could take. I have been using this product for months because by experience I know that Hydroquinone works. It comes in a 4% prescription strenght which it works much faster but usually doctors are reluctant to prescribe it. I discover Nadinola by chance with a 3% concentration so I bought it to compare which is better. Both cost around the same....
The reason I gave this product 3 stars is because the results are slow and I also understand that for 5 to 7 dollars that's ok....

must have patience but it works,

I really like this fade cream. I am african american with acne scars all over my face. I am brown skin so the scars stand out. I have been using this product for several months and have seen good results. Since I don't want my skin that isn't scarred whiten I use the end of a q-tip with the cotton taken off to only apply the cream on the scars. I do this morning and night and apply a sunscreen. You must have patience and do it regularly but it works. My scars are fading.

acne break out and chemical burn!,
By
This review is from: Ambi Fade Cream Normal 2 oz. (Misc.)
This whitening cream uses hydroquinone which can have some bad side effects. I broke out overnight as soon as I tried it.It was awful! The breakout did not clear up for six months! It also gave me a bad chemical burn which made my skin flake and peel for a few weeks. I think I may be allergic to hydroquinone as some people are. Even if you aren't there are still some very bad side effects which is why it is banned (hydroquinone) as an otc ingredient from some countries. I have been hearing great things about another closely related ingredient named alpha-arbutin. It is supposed to deliver the same results but without the nasty side effects! There is a product named Meladerm which uses alpha-arbutin that is supposed to be very good but pricey! I'd rather pay that than risk another six month long pimple fest though! I think I'm going to give it a try.
