It works but it takes time....,
By Belle (Bradenton, Fl) - See all my reviews

The lighter your skin(like me)the longer could take. I have been using this product for months because by experience I know that Hydroquinone works. It comes in a 4% prescription strenght which it works much faster but usually doctors are reluctant to prescribe it. I discover Nadinola by chance with a 3% concentration so I bought it to compare which is better. Both cost around the same....
The reason I gave this product 3 stars is because the results are slow and I also understand that for 5 to 7 dollars that's ok....

must have patience but it works,
This review is from: Ambi Fade Cream, Normal Skin, 2 oz. (Misc.)
I really like this fade cream. I am african american with acne scars all over my face. I am brown skin so the scars stand out. I have been using this product for several months and have seen good results. Since I don't want my skin that isn't scarred whiten I use the end of a q-tip with the cotton taken off to only apply the cream on the scars. I do this morning and night and apply a sunscreen. You must have patience and do it regularly but it works. My scars are fading.

acne break out and chemical burn!,
By
This review is from: Ambi Fade Cream Normal 2 oz. (Misc.)
This whitening cream uses hydroquinone which can have some bad side effects. I broke out overnight as soon as I tried it.It was awful! The breakout did not clear up for six months! It also gave me a bad chemical burn which made my skin flake and peel for a few weeks. I think I may be allergic to hydroquinone as some people are. Even if you aren't there are still some very bad side effects which is why it is banned (hydroquinone) as an otc ingredient from some countries. I have been hearing great things about another closely related ingredient named alpha-arbutin. It is supposed to deliver the same results but without the nasty side effects! There is a product named Meladerm which uses alpha-arbutin that is supposed to be very good but pricey! I'd rather pay that than risk another six month long pimple fest though! I think I'm going to give it a try.

good for light spots!,

This review is from: Ambi Fade Cream, Normal Skin, 2 oz. (Misc.)
when I purchased this product I was using it as directed, I applied it two times a day for over 2 1/2 months. My results were barely noticeable, the darkest spots on my skin were hardly lightened but I did see a difference in some of the lighter spots. I eventually cut down on using it everyday and use it on occasions now. All in all I think this product works best for ''light'' hyper-pigmentation spots.
ADVICE- Do not use this product with benzoyl peroxide or hydrogen peroxide ''they will react with each other causing skin irritation and discoloration.''

I dont know how but this product actually made me darker.
And my face broke out like crazy. But I'm not allergic to any of the ingredients.I'll Just have to buy a natural product one WITHOUT hydroquinone.

This is a great inexpensive product. I use it every morning and every night and I have received some great results. One side of my face wouldn't stop marking up every time I received a blemish. Every blemish turned into a mark. I became more disciplined to my regime and added this product my routine and my skin cleared up and has received a lot of notice.

Works, but gave me excruciating headaches,
By El Nino (New York) - See all my reviews

I was able to use this product for about a week before I had to give up due to the excruciating headaches it gave me. I only used a little bit on a brown spot on my nose, but that was enough to really affect me. About a week later, I did see that it had faded my brown spot, so it does work, I just couldn't deal with the headaches. It must be very toxic in some way. I would steer clear of it. An old doctor boyfriend told me that his mother used this stuff long term and got skin cancers where she had used it, but I thought it would be okay for short term use. I guess I was wrong. I am trying the Niacin products now, and so far, no headaches or anything alarming.

Good product~,

I have very pale skin as well as light freckles .. Which is why i use the ambi fade cream, It does fade my freckles but i have to keep applying it and it does take some time but it does fade.. I stopped using it and the more i went out in the sun the more darker my freckles got. Going to buy it again to keep my freckles as light as they will get. Overall it does do the job, and for the price it's definitely worth it!

I brought this and used it for about two weeks morning and night just on the spots on my face and now I have white/light spots on my face. Not worth it! Better off just having the acne scars than white/lights spots! Beware
