This album is actually called apc tracks because it is put out by a frence record label apc. Their are 2 of these and can be bought on apc.de for $15.00. They also release all the lili boniche, and the laswell dub mix boniche dub. with guest guitarist virtuoso nicky skopelitis, and primus drummer brian (brain) mantia This is a verry hip hop oriented album with dub/jazz flare. Amazon has import versions of this actually called apc tracks but the songs on 1 and 2 are backwards. Not the best laswell project but awesome. Try i first its got more flare and reggae dub style.

I am not too familiar with Bill Laswell except this album that I happened to find at a record shop back in '99, and his amazing remixing of Bob Marley.
This CD is full of creative ambient drum and bass using real acoustic instruments, and creates a really enjoyable soundscape - which seems to be Laswell's forte. You won't regret picking up a copy of this CD! I believe they are out of print though, so you'd be lucky to get your hands on one. |
