This is perhaps the best Ambient compilation ever released. Includes some of the best tracks off of hard to find CDs from artists of the early 90's, the golden age of ambient.

Listening to the CD again inspired me to write this.

It was the summer of 1996 and I had just landed at Detroit's Metro Airport. I was born and raised in the Detroit area, left in 1971 and really never looked back. As I fiddled with the radio on my rental car, I stopped on a station playing something that made me pause.

I listened as I was heading for my destination, became drawn in, and pulled over to make sure I wrote down what I had just heard. ("sunrise" by Y.A.P.) Bought the CD the same day and that slice of home is now frozen in my mind.

This compilation is a great one for ambient lovers. The single always never is a favorite of mine. Also One AD is a great ambient cover as well.
