I purchased this on a whim at the same time as another weather product, and the price was right. I wanted a simple indoor and outdoor wireless thermometer for me and the family. We love this product and check it every day!

It was easy enough to set up and use. The console is wireless and the published range was 300' (I could only get 120' out of the unit but I guess walls make a difference?).

The temperature is accurate but word of warning... make sure the sensor is placed in the shade! It will read wrong if you don't. Once I learned this, I got accurate readings.

We get a kick out of wendy the weather girl. She changes clothes when the temperature changes. We are in Arizona, so she rarely changes out of her bathing suit but the kids think it's cool (and me too!).

This is a very nice indoor/outdoor thermometer. Very easy to set up, accurate, and easy to read. Our 5yo son loves the graphics which show you how to dress for the day. It's also fairly compact (looks bigger in the picture than it really is). Recommended!

Purchased for 14.99 from Amazon in October 2012. Pretty easy to set up if you read the directions. The outdoor temp transmitter is fairly large and can be mounted horizontally under the eave with the 3 tiny screws included. You'll need a smallish Phillips screwdriver with a precise point for the 3 strong but tiny mounting screws. According to the manual, lithium AAA batteries will last longer in the transmitter if you live in a cold climate. The large print display on the receiver is easy to read. Regarding the display, we think the little Wendy girl should be wearing her hat before it freezes. She goes hat-less until it's less than 32 degrees outside. She needs a hat by 40 degrees. She must get very cold without a hat.

November 2012 note: I now know why her hat appears as soon as it registers below 32°F outside. It's very handy to take just a quick glance and know it's below freezing outside.

May 2013 note: this thermometer is still working great, on the original (non-lithium) batteries! We love it. It is accurate and extremely handy to have in this world of climate changing weird weather. In fact right now it's 84.4°F outside and Wendy is in her bathing suit, cap, and goggles.

October 2013 note: still works great, still running on the original batteries after one year. Worked perfectly through all the continuous heat waves last summer. Costs about $10 more now than when we bought it from Amazon a year ago.

I had another wireless thermometer for years. The sensor and the base unit finally quit talking to each other, despite fresh batteries and resetting both. I was going to order another one, but these are so cheap, I ordered two of these to put on opposite sides of the house so I can always know the outside temp on the shady side. And now I don't have to cross the house to see the outside temp.

I followed the instructions to get both base units to read both sensors. All four read temperature within 0.4 degrees of each other when sitting next to each other. I now have everything placed where I want them. One of the base units is no longer reading the sensor on the opposite side of the house. I suppose I could reset them, but it's not that important to me and I'm lazy.

One feature I had on our old thermo was a back light. And I would rather have larger numbers than the cute but useless kid-in-clothing graphic. But for the price, these are great!

My granddaughters have become professional weather women now. They are constantly checking the temp and how much or how little the girl is wearing and reporting that to their parents.

I could not get it set up but a gentleman in my office did not have trouble at all. Neither did my son or son-in-law. Do you see a pattern here.

I was surprised to see how electronic Indoor/Outdoor thermometers had come down in price and up in features. The early generation stuff didn't last too long and was pricy.

I bought one at Wally World partly on the impulse seeing a low price (<$30). It went back because the transmitter was not being picked up. Got this instead... :)

The Wally World unit claimed others didn't do 433 Mhtz. This one does too. And unlike the returned unit, it "pairs" like BlueTooth, so it won't get confused by other 433 Mhz devices (unlike the 1st returned unit). To "pair" put batteries in the outdoor sender first. That's it. The rest is automagic.

Lots of mounting options for the rather small outdoor transmitter. Give some consideration to placement (out of direct sun and rain).

Bonus feature of alarm clock with snooze I have not tried.

Time, day/month/year display. Can do C or F display.

Wendy is 'cute'.

Hi-low ranges indoor & outdoor are recorded and easily re-set. Have 4 AAA batteries ready. 2 for each side.

A worthwhile purchase.

Bought for my grandson's birthday... was simple to set up... accuracy compared favourably with my Fluke thermocouple device... and had about a 0.5 hour temperature settling time to agree with other devices (Fluke, Accurite and alcohol thermometers. I origially ordered 5 various Ambient Weather digital devices based on the approx. 4.5 customer satisfaction rating. Other brands I'd had experience with were more-than-a-little disappointing... thanks guys nice products, bill
