I bought this thermometer with high expectations after reading the Amazon reviews. It replaced an old Oregon Scientific probe-type remote thermometer for which replacement sensors are is no longer available. Unfortunately, one of the two floating transmitters was defective - it had very poor range (less than 25' when floating in the pool), not even enough to reach the length of the pool let alone be received indoors. The other transmitter worked great - so well that I could put it in the skimmer basket and still receive the signal indoors, about 45' away.
I returned the kit and will buy another as a replacement - hopefully the second set will have two good transmitters.

Finally...this is a simple, well constructed pool thermometer. It works excellently. Screw-on remote sensor....very easy to change battery. Seems to have a greater range than previous models. Finally!!!!

This set of sensors and monitor worker as described right out of the box. I have tried three other types of pool thermometers and was not satisfied with any of the three. I am completely satisfied with the Ambient weather product. It is very beneficial to know the pool and spa water temperatures.
