Bot my first Travelscan Nov 2003 - I use is all the time and keep it right by my notebook computer. Still works good as the day I bot it.
- A few problems: It doesn't like staples. It requires cleaning if you try to scan dirty things or wet ballpoint pen ink. It can scratch photos (use the included sleeve to save your photos).
- Now I have an 2nd notebook computer and want the same convenience.
- If you wonder how to clean it, either follow manufacturer's directions or do what I do: Spray Windex on plain white sheet of paper as it's feeding into the scanner - thick paper works best 24+ lb.

Works great! Images are very sharp and the scanner is definitely travel size. Perfect for trips to the library for instance. Scans well enough to use in place of a desktop unit, if need be. Best feature is that it will scan legal size documents.

Awesome little scanner. I like that it came with cleaning instructions. It came quickly and works great.

Love this product. It was what I was looking for. I travel a great deal and need to be ready to scan documents, business cards and the like at any time. This does the job. Recommend you use it with Acrobat as the program which accompanies the product needs a few tweeks to work right.

I'm very disappointed in this product. Some photos scan with a dark line down the middle when there's no dark line in the original photo. Other photos scan so bright you can't make out the people.

I bought this for my small office because I have no room for a copy machine. It works beautifully. There are preset sizes that it can scan, I wish I could customize the size, but it is okay because i just scan it in as 8 1/2 x 11 and then I use microsoft paint to adjust the picture. I also wish the scanner was a little faster. But it is a good solid instrument.

Working with emergency communication using a ham radio, I needed a portable scanner. I expected to be very pleased, but instead, was very disappointed. After scanning a few pages, I packed it away.

The next time I attempted to use it, the motor ran, but it would not grip the paper to take it through the scanner. A friend opened it and did something. It worked once, then the next paper became crooked. After waiting, I pulled it gently out which involved about 2".

The gripper doesn't work anymore.

I'm looking for another brand. Found one Amazon.com is selling that has 5 stars. I'll try that one.
