Book Description

January 1, 2008
The purpose of Ambivalent Design is to clearly identify and describe the basic scientific theory of evolution, and to expose the obscure claims made by proponents of intelligent design (ID) and creationism. This confusion has created a mythology of false impressions about the relationship of evolution to the history of life on Earth. Ambivalent Design attempts to clarify the reality of evolution and dispel the distortions promoted by its opponents.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Science is open-minded but not empty-headed. A.D. Rosenberg s book doesn t pretend to provide a platform or even an audience for anti-scientific nonsense. He exposes it for what it is, succinctly and clearly. Why put a happy face on an ideology that insists on keeping students ignorant and even miseducated? Read and use this book often. --Dr. Kevin Padian - Department of Integrative Biology and Museum of Paleontology, University of California, Berkeley; President, National Center for Science Education
