Painfully Funny Truth, November 16, 2009
This review is from: Ambrose Bierce's The Devil's Dictionary (Paperback)
This is one of the funniest books ever written. Some of the truths are so daring yet spot on you will remember them for life. One of my favorites is "FAITH, n. Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel." Buy 2- one to keep and one to share.

The Devil's Details, November 16, 2009
This review is from: Ambrose Bierce's The Devil's Dictionary (Paperback)
Often obscure and very 19th Century, but sometimes the skewer is dead-on. As I'm in the business, I especially appreciate this one:
Physician (noun): One upon whom we set our hopes when ill and our dogs when well.
