5.0 out of 5 stars A good, heart-racing read! December 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Ambushed by Rebecca York grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let up. It is terse, engaging and I genuinely liked Jordan and Elizabeth, especially the way in which they reacted to each other. The sexual tension is high, the attempt to escape the bad guys gripping. Short stories can be a bear to get everything right, but Rebecca York has done it. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great story! December 22, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Talk about packing a lot into a small space. This story is a short course
in romantic suspense. And fun to read. I'm assuming it's the start of a
new Decorah Security series?

5.0 out of 5 stars Ambushed by Rebecca York February 16, 2013

Extremely well written but too short. Much too short. Left me wanting more so I'm going to read the next book in line.

A security specialist, assigned the task of guarding a federal witness, breaks all of the rules of protocol and falls in love with her.

3.0 out of 5 stars An "OK" read for a short story... April 7, 2012
By Nina
Format:Kindle Edition
Ambushed was a quick romantic suspense that was fairly well written. By being so short (~17 pages) it was quite hard for the author to develop characters with depth along with the plot. Also, since this was a very short read, I felt that there was no relationship buildup between the two protagonists. However, judging from what I read, this story definitely has the potential of being a very good story if it was elaborated into a full length novel. Furthermore, with its shortness I felt like I was losing a chunk of information. However, it was still a pretty good read. With that said, I would consider reading other works from Rebecca York.

4.0 out of 5 stars Too short March 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love Decorah Security books....I have every one that has been put out for free. The men and women are strong characters that make you root for them. The only thing I find disappointing is the length of them. I get involved in the characters' story and then it's over. I just wish there was a longer story out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed this short story.
The only reason for for stars is it should be made into a full length book. I really enjoyed it and will be purchasing one of her full length books. Hopefully it will be as good.
