This is definitely not your grandmother's sifter. Unlike the old handle-crank variety with one layer of mesh, this sifter contains three layers of mesh and three sifting blades. The result is silky-smooth flour for fluffy cakes and well-mixed dry ingredients for melt-in-your-mouth cookies. 3 cups in this sifter may be a little ambitious for the extra-tidy cook (because of possible spills), although 2 cups fit just fine. This product's spring-loaded handle makes sifting quick, but also intense, which might make it difficult for people with weak grips. However, the result is well worth the work. --Amanda Powter

This sifter is very sturdy and well-made. The sifting handle is smooth and allows whatever items you are sifting to flow through easily - no shaking necessary! This item also cleans up troublefree.

Unlike some of the previous reviewers, I love this product.

We cook quite a bit, and this a good deal faster than traditional sifters. The construction seems very sturdy, the product has a contemporary up-scale appearance, and we've had no issues with cleaning.

I don't think this a good choice for anyone with an unusually weak grip, as prolonged use may be taxing. Other than that, I highly recommend this product.
