Very nice colander! Stainless Steel...easy to clean. Holds almost 3/4 of a box of COOKED spaghetti. The holes in this colander are small enough to strain very thin pasta (capellini/angel hair pasta) without the pasta falling through the holes! The handle is nice and long so you don't risk burning yourself when draining hot pasta...

I wish I had bought the slightly smaller one, nevertheless this is perfect for draining pasta without losing the precious pasta water needed to add to sauces.

THIS SCOOP IS MADE WITH THE PERFECT SHAPE, MATERIAL, DEPTH AND HANDLE. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS THE OVERALL SIZE. I COOK FOR TWO SO IT DOESN'T FIT IN MY POTS. I HAVE TO DRAIN THE FOOD INTO THE COLANDER RATHER THAN SCOOP MY PASTA OUT.MY REASON TO BUY IT WAS SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO PICK UP THE HEAVY POT OF HOT WATER TO DRAIN.THE SMALLER ONES I HAVE SEEN DIDN'T HAVE THE DEPTH OF THE SCOOP THAT I LIKED. I DIDN'T SEE THIS ITEM IN PERSON SO I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW LARGE IT WAS.
