These all-purpose, 16-inch, 18/8 stainless-steel locking tongs will let you serve salads, roasted vegetables, and grilled, sizzling steaks with ease. I bought these because they were rated tops in the Cooks Illustrated review of barbecue tongs. They are a bit longer than I was thinking I needed, but they have been absolutely great in practice. The scalloped ends allow you to grip meat firmly but without crunching it. The locking feature keeps them from taking up too much room in the kitchen. They are long enough to keep you from burning your hands, but not so long as to be awkward. A simple but effective product.
