Perfect for those smaller jobs. Looks nice and looks like it will last for years. I'm very happy.

OK if you want a colander that doesn't drain,

I bought this based on the reviews and I have never been so disappointed with an Amazon purchase. When set level in the sink, it would not drain leaving a consistent 1/4" or so of water in the bottom (my husband chalks it up to surface tension, as it drains OK when tilted on the sides). We ended up drilling out some of the base holes to make it more functional but of course it is now far less attractive. I would not buy this product again.

A decent colander for the price,

I bought this as duplicate for a second home. It was similar in design to one I already own and love. While it functions great, they certainly have scaled back the 'bulk' of the material. Typical for this day and age.

This is just an okay colander. The size is nice for smaller jobs like draining canned beans or washing berries. But the holes are too small, and like a previous poster stated, this prevents the water from draining all the way out. There is always a small amount left at the bottom, so your food stays wet. Also, although quite sturdy, the metal is rather thin, and when I'm swooshing my berries around in it, sometimes the edges from the hole cutouts scrape my fingers and nick my nails (and I don't even have long nails). Okay for the price, I guess, but I probably wouldn't buy it again; would rather pay a little more for something a little heftier and drains better.

This appears to be a good colander. I bought this one to replace another brand that started to rust after having it a year. I was looking for a colander that was a little smaller then my Pfaltzgraff and I am hoping that this one will serve me as well as that one has over the years.
