4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect and nicely retro
I've been looking for eggcups, somehow we break them frequently in our household. These look unbreakable so I ordered them. They are light but stable, and very reasonably priced. Happy with with them, they stack nicely in 2's a bit more wobbly in 3's and will hopefully last a nice long time. We buy xlarge or jumbo eggs and they sink into these cups, making me...

2.0 out of 5 stars made for monster eggs
I am wondering what type of eggs these were made for, because a regular chicken egg is too small for this cup. It barely reaches the top. The image is misleading.

Happy with with them, they stack nicely in 2's a bit more wobbly in 3's and will hopefully last a nice long time. Edited to add, my husband thought they were a bit big, even for jumbo eggs...

I love SS! They were thin, still nice though. But, if you accidently place anything in the sink with these, the slightest pressure crush them. I had purchased several and I don't have any left :( I have since purchase the ceramic type and they have lasted much longer! I say 50/50 because if you are more responsible than us on how you place thing in the sink, this will wok out just fine ( I have kids so....)

These egg cups are too deep for smaller eggs and the finish and quality is fair. They are okay for the price.

It was an OK purchace overall.
However, the diameter is a little bit too big even for an extra large egg, so it doesn't really hold the egg the way I expected.

I suspect the person who designed these, has never actually seen a fresh chicken egg. I use Large Grade (2oz each) eggs, and they rattle around in this egg cup like a pinball.

Short version: These are too big!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Amco Egg cup, January 17, 2012

While the cups themselves are well made, they are a bit on the large side which means that if you are using eggs which are on the small side, they tend to get lost in the holder. Additionally, with the material being metal, it gets hot when you put in an egg. As stated before, if the egg is small, then it swirls around the holder, which you now have to grab but that itself is hot!

Nice to look at, but if you are buying, make sure you have large eggs to use

3.0 out of 5 stars Egg cup for large eggs, July 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Amco Egg Cup, Set of 6 (Kitchen)
It should have stated that it is meant for extra large or jumbo size eggs only because normal eggs fall too deep into it and the one who loves soft eggs will have a mess eating it...

I broke my everyday egg cup, with a large end and a small end. The large end was big enough to eat the egg from. That's what I was really looking for. The cups are nice and I will find uses for them, but I'm still looking. The service was great.
