Fine mesh captures splatter really well. The perimeter weight holds the screen on the pan securely. The relatively short handle is unobtrusive for storage.

Bought this after being disappointed with the Oxo screen.

The screen seems to do a good job at reducing the grease splatter, but the rim prevents the screen from sitting down on the pan. I have Calaphalon pans with handles that are wide where they attach to the pan. The opening in the rim of the screen doesn't fit well over the handle. Save your money and buy the one without the rim.

Mesh screen is pretty well built - no plastic handle to burn like some. The mesh is well secured to the perimeter frame.
Stainless steel seems to be stain/rust/dishwasher proof unlike low-end products.

they just needed to design handle neck a little
better because it does not set right on pan.
I found it a little better if you turn
it upside down so it lays a little more flat
on pan, unless you have a pan exactly same size as
screen it sticks up a little.

I enjoy cooking but hate to clean up the mess after frying. The splatter screen is the best I have ever seen and used. Fits perfect on my big saute and fry pan and keeps the grease splatter to nearly nothing. It is amazing. Easy clean up. I have also used it on smaller pans and of course it is too big to fit right but it still keeps the grease in the screen.

This is heavy duty, professional, and does it's job well. I also use it as a strainer when making french dishes, or any dish that calls for squishing the broth out of the veggies/meat ingredients. It holds up well to the pressure of a wooden spoon pressing against it, which is where my last strainer failed terribly (it was cheap - bought at a grocery store). This is much bigger than my last one, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

This splatter screen works perfectly. It stops most of the splattering from pan-frying bacon, chicken, etc. but isn't so dense that it hold in steam (a complaint I've seen about some others). It seems to be well-made and I love the hole in the handle, allowing me to store it on the pot rack in easy reach.

This is perfect for cast iron and in the oven as its all metal and very easy to clean. I highly reccommend it.

This is a great splatter screen. Sturdy, balanced, easy to clean. The lip on it and the nice weight helps keep it securely on the pan.

Not quite the configuration I'd anticipated, nor as effective as one I once had, but suspect one I used to have may no longer be manufactured.
