5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable and solid
I've had this corkscrew for a while now and I've been extremely happy with it. There are several big advantages I've found over other winged corkscrews I've used. It feels much more solid in general and has very little play in wings. The corkscrew goes in smoothly and is sharp enough to go in without a lot of force. The wings/handles are longer than many others I've...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great until it broke
This is a very usable and seemingly sturdy corkscrew - my favorite so far... until one of the levers broke off in normal use after a couple of years of use (semi-daily?). I either have to cut down on my wine consumption or find a better corkscrew.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable and solid, April 12, 2010

I've had this corkscrew for a while now and I've been extremely happy with it. There are several big advantages I've found over other winged corkscrews I've used. It feels much more solid in general and has very little play in wings. The corkscrew goes in smoothly and is sharp enough to go in without a lot of force. The wings/handles are longer than many others I've used so that less effort is required. The bottle cap opener on the top is an added plus. I've found it remove most bottle caps in a single motion. It also tends to leave the flat surface of the bottle caps undamaged for those who collect bottle caps. I've enjoyed it enough that it's the only brand I'm willing to purchase as a gift for others.

1.0 out of 5 stars solid... but plastic?!, September 13, 2010
This review is from: Amco Swing-A-Way 757RD Wing Corkscrew, Red (Kitchen)
Bought this corkscrew because it looked beefy but turned out to be TSP. After only about a month of use, the plastic insert, which holds the bottle top in place, cracked and broke. I was so disappointed - every other Swing-A-Way product I have purchased has been solid and reliable!

Looked and felt great upon receipt. Didn"t work as gears appeared to be locked. Threw it in the garbage. Regards, Joe.
