Book Description

May 21, 2007 Amelia Rules! (Book 4)
Amelia McBride is going to her first dance (with a boy no less), but she's not the only one with a date. Yikes! Is Amelia's mom seeing someone too? Perhaps Reggie (a.k.a. Captain Amazing) can shed some light on the situation. But it's not all fun for the 10-year-old spitfire. A good friend reveals that her father will be sent to a dangerous country with his job in the military, and it gets Amelia thinking about her own family, her past, and what it means for the present. Also available in a hardcover edition (978-0-9712169-8-3).

Multiple Eisner Award winner (comics industry's highest honor). Great for the entire family. My 11-year-old cousin loves this series, and so do I. Amelia and her friends encounter various mundane and outrageous situations, and each encounter teaches them something else about life. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read for all ages..., January 1, 2010

The Amelia series should not be missed. They are witty and clever, and will make you laugh out loud at times. Amelia is a character that can be related to and is one that kids in the 10-13 year age range will like. The illustrations and lettering can look a bit amateurish at times, that is the knock on the stars.
