3.0 out of 5 stars enjoyable for fans of the film or cinema studies undergrads, December 27, 2008

This review is from: Amelie: Le Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain (French Film Guides) (Paperback)
This book is enjoyable and easy to read. I must say, though, that I expected the book to be a bit more academic. I am just a first-year graduate student (and not even in Cinema Studies) and I have found more in this film than the author has, although, to be fair, she has found other things that I did not notice. If you love the movie, this book will add to your enjoyment and if you are an undergrad in French Studies or Cinema Studies you will find this book useful but not dense in the way of hardcore French film theory.
