Very useful item for those cases when you need a night light AND available outlets. Good concept and ours works well. The downside is that the bulb is not LED, so will need to be replaced more frequently. However, that's easily fixed with the purchase of an LED bulb (which should have been included with the product).

I bought 2 units. One turns off at the faintest early morning light. The other takes quite a bit of light falling on the unit to turn off. You can always remove (i.e. break off) the vertical louvers over the light sensor to increase its sensitivity to ambient light...as I did.

Sensor works great. Having the 3 grounded outlets is very convenient. Only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the light is so bright that we needed to replace it, but a standard Christmas light works fine; we found orange the most pleasing color.

I purchased this nightlight with extra outlet for my bathroom. Funny thing is that when I plugged it into the socket light did not come on. For a moment, I thought I had a defective unit and was thinking of returning it to Amazon but I decided to give another try at the kitchen and there the light came on.

I pulled the nightlight from kitchen socket and tried again at the bathroom and no light. I tried another nightlight that I had in my bedroom and that one worked in the bathroom. I have no clue why the light fails to work in the bathroom. I tried it during the night time so I doubt it is the sensor problem. So, I am now using AmerTac in kitchen instead of bathroom where I really wanted.

No need to turn this light on as it generated by a sensor. Also, this is no outlet hog, the light has 3 built-in outlets. Great Light!
