This item is a joke. The picture makes it look heavy/brass and its all plastic...cheap cheap cheap! The dome is NOT the color it appears. It is cheap,plastic and white in color. I do NOT recommend this item. Not worth the $$$ and shipping fee.

After ordering this product it came to my attention that the shipping was MORE than the product "compliments" of the seller (Light Bulbs Etc, Inc.) and NOT Amazon.com, however Amazon.com (NOT the seller/Light Bulbs Etc, Inc.) very kindly removed the S&H charges. The picture of this nightlight is not a true depiction of the actual product. The cover is described and looks like an antique tan/beige tone on-line but in actuality it is a cheap plastic white cover. The light does do "the job" of sorts. The claim is that this light is on a timer automatically turing on and off depending on the time of day/night however this light stays on 24/7, hence most likely causing the bulb to burn out way sooner than necessary.
The seller (Light Bulbs Etc, Inc.) had sent me a request to review this product and when I replied (truthfully) I received a scathing and very rude reply from a representative from this company/Light Bulbs Etc, Inc. (NOT Amazon.com). They basically accused me of not being "real bright" in not noticing their S&H policy. I was very shocked and insulted to receive their reply. This will most definitely be the ONLY product that I shall buy from this particular company/Light Bulbs Etc, Inc..
To be fair, I am using the nightlight and aside from being lit constantly it is doing "the job" that I had bought it to do.

The appearance of the night light is very attractive and it fits in very nicely with the decor of the house. I appreciate not having to remember to turn them on and off. They provide just enought light to satify my requirement, which is to not enter a totally dark room at night. My only two issues are, it would be better if they were more light sensitive as they come on when the day is just overcast and they apparently only go off at night when subjected to incandescent light. Indoor downlights seem to have no effect in turning them off. I also suspect that neither halogen or flourescent lights would cause them to turn off.
