I bought this bag for a family vacation...never intending to use it long-term. I do admit that it takes getting used to. For the first couple of days, I couldn't find anything because it's so efficient with all its little cubbies. However, by the end of our trip, my hands went immediately to each hideaway by instinct. Now, I will never go back to traditional bags.

My favorite features are the gripping strap that helps it hold onto your shoulder...and the silver, slightly-metallic interior that makes spying tiny items a breeze! Ohhhh...and the key hook makes finding my work keys elementary.

I bought the taupe distressed nylon bag in medium, but I'm going to be adding to my "collection" very soon!

I bought one of these 5 years ago and have used it constantly. I bought the Navy color and decided I needed another color too. My original purchase is still in perfect condition. It's the distressed nylon so is occasionally washed & dried. Don't know how I ever lived without it..comfortable, fashionable & roomy. Local store closed b/4 I could buy another color so will buy here.

This is one amazing bag. It is better than anything I could have come up with the light interior is very helpful with lighting items inside the pockets are just the right size the exterior pockets make traveling with kids I have an Autistic child and this is a dream I can take along every trick in 1 bag as well as have room for a snack and a drink and my things What more could you ask for?

Only draw back is the price from some sites are out of this world.

This is my second Healthy Back bag. I had my first one for eleven years! I regularly washed the bag and, amazingly, it maintained its appearance. The bag is still in great shape; no ripped out seams or worn patches, but the light color has begun to show its age.

I carried that bag to work daily during that time. I would tell people that I could survive for days in the wilderness with what that bag contained. All of the pockets and compartments, both inside and out, allowed me to organize everything for easy access.

When I purchased my new bag, I pleasantly surprised by a feature that my original bag did not have--a non-slip surface on the strap. Thank you Ameribag! Nylon on nylon could be quite slippery, but I have no difficulty keeping the bag on my shoulder even when wearing a lightweight nylon windbreaker.

I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in a quality product with great design features.

I have been searching for a while for a purse that works for me. Finally I found it. The Ameribag (distressed nylon) that I purchased off Amazon is the PERFECT bag. It is the right size and has pockets for everything. It has a back saving design and is very nice to pack, carry and shop out of.

I have never felt comfortable carring a purse, they are always to big, to small, to long or to short. I don't mind carring a backpack but sometimes they are just not practical. This bag is the best of both worlds. It is not a backpack so a little more upscale and yet it can be tossed over your shoulder and has the ease of one.
Tons of space and great compartments inside and out for keeping things organized.

I purcased the Medium size as I intended to use it when I went on vacation. This bag fit all my needs. Easy to carry and not bulky. It could be worn over my shoulder or extend the strap and I was able to sling it across so the zipper rested in front for those crowded areas were pick pockets are plentiful.

I was able to carry: larger wallet, small digital camera, 1 guide book, 1 paperback novel, 2 glass cases, a water bottle, gloves, a small umbrella and a shawl for when it got cold on the way home. All this and it did not seem heavy, clumsy or bulky...AMAZING...there was even space left over...Amazing....and it wasn't like lugging around a sack...Amazing. Like my trusty backpack and yet so much nicer to carry around and absolutley no back or shoulder pain.

An added bonus, no one gave me the stink eye when I went into shops to browse as often happens if you carry a backpack. I wish I had found this years ago.

I had looked at these bags for a year or more, but it wasn't until I saw one a friend had that I decided to buy. I bought this bag a month ago for a trip to Alaska and found it even more useful than expected. Like other reviewers, I like the grip on the shoulder strap because most bags tend to slip off my shoulder, and the light gray interior which makes it easy to see things inside.

The thing that impressed me the most is that it holds way more than it looks like it will. I was able to put in it: a 16 oz. bottle of water, gloves, polartec headband, sweater, packable rain jacket, camera, binoculars, a bird book, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and miscellaneous other things along with the usual wallet, glasses, sunglasses etc. etc. etc. I used it as a purse, and I used it instead of a daypack.

The one I bought is the taupe distressed nylon and it didn't show dirt, not even after being in the water sloshing around in the bottom of a canoe.

It's so spacious it's easy to lose things, so for me the key was to choose a specific place for each thing and keep each thing in its place.

I just can't say enough good things about this bag. I'm going to get a leather model to use as a purse for business.

I don't want to call Ameribag a purse because it's too 'cool looking' to be called 'just a purse'. So I call it a 'back pack' bag. It fits around my right shoulder and hangs down very comfortably. It's also very safe; I don't have any worries of anyone trying to steal anything out of it because they couldn't REACH anything the way it is set up. There is so much room it's amazing! 2 zippers on the outside on top of compartments for papers, wallets, medications, etc. Then there is the inside, WOW! Talk about a 'Silver Lining!' The color is silver with I can't even come up with how many compartments there are where you can put 'ANYTHING STUFF' in it. There are zippers, pockets, side openings, to name a few. The inside is really big with a lot of room. So anyway, let me put it this way in a few easy words, "If you are looking for a purse, back pack, handbag, (etc.), this Ameribag is the one to buy. It is very well worth it's price."

The Ameribag is perfect for my needs. I work in the field a lot (Army) and can pretty much throw everything into it that I need. Truly alot of space!! I may go back at somepoint and purchase the small one for site seeing etc. Also like the fact that it goes across the body....
