I got both this bag and the standard tear-drop Ameribag healthy back bag (made of recycled PET material) as options to replace an older Ameribag healthy back bag. This bag isn't quite spacious enough for me to use as my everyday bag, primarily because I always carry a 36-oz nalgene with me. My nalgene does fit within the largest pocket of this bag no problem, but leaves little room for all of the other things I frequently carry around. My best use for this bag will be traveling, when I also have a backpack to hold my nalgene (in case you haven't guess by this point, the little stretchy water bottle pocket is not large enough for a full size nalgene, but would work great with a regular 20-oz bottle of water/soda, etc. or a smaller 16-oz nalgene). In flying back across the country for the holidays, I packed this bag with my essentials (which is kind of a lot) and it slid easily down into my backpack, and was easy to pull back out to quickly grab my wallet, tickets, etc. It has a lot of pockets for organization, and really, if I didn't carry my nalgene everywhere, I would use this bag everyday, for everything. I haven't yet, but will likely make use of it on my next hiking or camping adventure. The material is water resistant (maybe water "proof" in a downpour but not a toss in the river), and high-quality nylon to resist tears and such. I think it will be great to have out in the field, when I have a number of tools/equipment I need to access easily without taking my pack off and on all the time. The shoulder strap is easily adjusted or removable; there are also belt loops for attaching this bag to your belt for fieldwork, which I for foresee using in the near future.

So, this pack is great for organizing small stuff, great for carrying small water bottles, great durability, and practical for a number of purposes. It's not as large as the "small" sized Ameribag Healthy Back Bags, but depending on what you're carrying around, is a great little bag.
