This bag is absolutely the best bag I've ever owned. I always use a handbag every day, I'm one of those people who likes to have everything they might need with them all the time, but I'm so tired of them wearing out and looking tacky or frumpy. I decided to try and downsize, so ordered the extra small of this bag, and was worried that (a) it might be too small, and (b) that it might be all pockets, with no general space for just stuffing larger things in.

I needn't have worried. The extra small looks nice and compact, but it's roomy enough to hold a "tote" umbrella, purse, checkbook, hairbrush, cell phone, tylenol, business cards, keys, compact mirror (all those things have their own pockets on the inside around the edges), and still have room in the main section to stuff my two sons' wrestling singlets and a digital camera!!

The quality of the construction is absolutely superb, the outer pockets are tidy and covered, so stuff in them doesn't get wet when you're in the rain, the zippers are top quality, the strap is even slip-resistant so it doesn't slip off your shoulder. I ordered the distressed nylon since I walk in the rain alot, and it looks gorgeous, very high quality, not tacky looking at all.

I really am incredibly impressed with this bag. It's absolutely worth the price, I can't praise it enough!!

The Healthy Back Bag is a cross between a shoulder bag and a backpack. I find that it really does relieve stress on my back and even on my shoulder. Although I wasn't sure if I would like the distressed nylon, it's very attractive, looks a little like canvas, and has a nice feel to it. Even though this bag is Extra Small, it has plenty of room for what I usually keep in a handbag. The Healthy Back Bag comes in a series of larger sizes and different fabrics. I've seen some of them and they're all extremely well made, as is this one. I highly recommend this bag.

This bag is much better than I could have hoped. The name "extra small" is deceiving! It is plenty large enough for me to fit two pairs of glasses (each in their own case), a wallet, cell phone, and MANY odds and ends! The number of pockets is impressive, many of which either zip or Velcro closed. The anti-slip fabric on the adjustable strap helps prevent the purse from sliding around: a great plus. I find it much more comfortable to carry than any of my previous purses, including a backpack style bag. It is light-weight, which is the primary reason I went looking for a new purse, and the price is great! I've only had the bag a short time, maybe a month, but recommended it to someone almost immediately, and she loves it, too! The only complaint I have is that not all the inside pockets have closures, and I find that some of my things slip out, but that is probably because I'm trying to carry too many things. All-in-all, this is an awesome bag!

This is a VERY cute bag. Looks very well made,lots of pockets,and the material is very nice. I like the nonslip on the strap,but if you are a larger lady(like me),it could be a little longer. The Sage color,while pretty,is different than it looks online. It is brighter,and that is why I'm returning it. I needed a softer shade. But I am ordering another in a different color as it looks like it will be a great bag to carry.

Product is very durable. This is my third bag and I am happy all of them. This bag comes in different sizes and colors.

This bag is great, large enough to hold a large wallet, sunglasses case, keys, notebook, and some little extras. But not so large that it is bulky or uncomfortable to wear.

I got the desert color - a fantastic, go-with-everything khaki color. This is a very casual bag, so if you dress up every day, it might not be for you. I love that it has a place for everything and I'm hoping to pick up a larger sized Ameribag for traveling. Now they just need to make a Back Bag for lap tops!

added 1/11/2012: I just came back to buy my 3rd Ameribag, the brown one this time - it's a beautiful, rich, cognac color. Love it! Also a note on Ameribag's customer service and warranty - a strap that holds a d-ring on the inside of one of my other bags ripped. I gave them a call and they're having me return the bag for fixing or a replacement. Very easy to deal with and very nice people.

I have bought several Ameribags. I recommend the distressed fabric. It does not show stains at all. The microfiber bags are stain magnets!! These bags are overall great with many pockets and a handy key hook so you never loose your keys. I like to buy bags and hand bags that are not made from leather. You can't go wrong with the smaller bags for everyday use. Try it, you'll like it.

This bag looks like it would be a backpack, but if you get the extra small size, as I did, it doesn't. And it fits so comfortably over my shoulder, I hardly know it is there. No slipping, it isn't bulky, and yet it holds as much as a regular sized (not small) purse. Love this thing! I have the polyester one, because it looks like micro-suede, but is washable, and this nylon one, which is perfect for the snowy and rainy fall and winters we have here. A friend got the micro-suede, and is beautiful, heavier than the polyester but also not washable. Just love these bags.

The fabric appears pretty durable and there are a nice number of pocket organizers on the inside and outside of this bag. It is not as good for the back as a backpack style, but still distributes the weight better than a regular purse. If it is packed too tightly, the bag is difficult to zip. Still, I was able to fit quite a bit in the bag: camera, phone, small wallet, checkbook, medications, pens, and other small items. Works even better with a small organizer for the main compartment. I like that it has two zippers, and the angle of the opening is easy to get at without setting the bag down.
