The Topsider's reliability and convenience has long been trusted by boaters for easy, no-mess oil changes, and other marine and automotive maintenance applications. With no electricity required for operation, the Topsider multi-purpose vacuum pump-out system uses a vacuum to pull oil out of your crankcase. A 12-inch diameter stance provides a stable base, eliminating potential tip-overs and spills. Simply slide the extraction hose down your dipstick hole, open the valve, and wait for 8 to 10 minutes. All of your old oil will be drawn into the Topsider's 8-quart container. This vacuum is very easy to use, and a suction probe and instructions are included.
Forget the mess from spills or inconvenient drain plugs. The Topsider makes it quick and easy to change your boat's oil, with no electricity or power source needed. The heavy-duty steel holding tank and steel pump with durable leather piston means a long service life of fast oil changes, and used oil and other liquids store safely for proper disposal. It takes just a few seconds to drain oil from a small engine, or just 8-10 minutes for large engines.
The Topsider vacuum system is incredibly easy to operate. Just attach the vacuum pump and hoses to the 2.5-gallon tank, and close the nylon pinch clamp. Then pump 40-60 strokes to create a proper vacuum, and insert the suction probe into your boat's dipstick tube. Release the pinch clamp, and you're good to go--most boat engines take a maximum of 10 minutes to drain the oil, with no messy cleanup.
You can also use the Topsider for other boat maintenance tasks. It's suitable for a variety of applications, including exchanging water in the bilge, transmission fluid, and more. (Please note: Topsider is NOT designed for use with flammable liquids such as gasoline.)
The 2.5-gallon capacity makes it the right size for quick and easy maintenance on larger vehicles as well as smaller 4-cycle engines, including lawn mowers, lawn and garden tractors, tillers, generators, snow throwers, ATVs, outboard motors, and transmissions/differentials. Its portable size makes it easier to tote and store.
At 7500 miles I take it some ware to have the oil filter changed as well.
I poured the used oil out of the canister into a measuring container and found out that I hadn't in fact vacummed out all of the old oil.
Works best on warmer oil, is slow as dirt on cold oil, but you can pump it up and walk away and let it go.
Very good quality and works well. Removed 5 quarts of warm motor oil from my antique inboard wood boat in just a few minutes. Should last for years. Read morePublished 1 day ago by Walter W. Cordes Poa
This works well! A neighbor had one that I used to change oil on my Mercedes- HAD to have one my own! It is simple; no complicated valve or such to manipulate. Read morePublished 5 days ago by Jeff
I have been using the same Topsider on our sailboat's inboard diesel engine for 15 years and have decided to retire it because it is just dirty and tired. It still works! Read morePublished 28 days ago by D. Schwartz
Works very well but remember to warm up the engine and not get the plastic tube near the exhaust system.Published 1 month ago by Dave

This is a fantastic device for draining (really siphoning) oil from a boat engine. The only drawback is you have to keep pumping while you are in the siphoning process to speed up... Read morePublished 2 months ago by Kapper
I have 2 of these topsider pumps, they are incredibly easy to use, and the best part is that no oil comes in contact with the pump itself. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Tracy
