Thought I was getting the 3rd Edition. What I received was the 1st. Not happy. Already had the 1st. So this was a waste of time and money.

Do you know the number one question that Prophecy Experts are Asked is "Where is America in Bible Prophecy?" Well you can find out the truth about what the Bible has to say about America in prophecy by reading this excellent book. This book is an easy read and strait forward. It will convict you to start living like the Bible says. That Jesus could return at any moment. I have read most of Dr. Reagan's literary works you will be hard pressed to find another person that gives as much scripture instead of their opinion as Dr. Reagan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard-Hitting Truth About America, June 23, 2008
I heartily agree with the last reviewer about this book. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better book concerning America's future. Dr. Reagan's books are easy to follow and are saturated with Scripture. His books are written so that even the average reader can understand what is being said.

Update (20 Oct 09) - The review above covers the 2nd addition of this book. A 3rd addition was released earlier this year. It's just as good. Apparently Amazon.com doesn't have the 3rd edition yet as the photo still shows the 2nd edition.

I found this book to be very well written and very Biblically sound. I have used it as a sermon help and an awaking for the people of our church.

1.0 out of 5 stars False Doctrine, No Scripture Proof, Poor Scholarship, January 21, 2009
Its not only that Reagan is an Anihilationist, a false doctrine you should look up before purchasing his book. Then read it on his own website:

http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_issues5.php

But, David Reagan, like his friend Alan Franklin, are two old fogeys stuck on old dried up theories. The book is VERY EXPENSIVE (over $[...]) The writing is very tedious and difficult to follow. Even worse, the organizational format is chaotic and confusing.

The book rehashes old arguments that America is in prophecy. No serious scholar of the Bible has ever came up with a single verse regarding America in Prophecy. One of the maddening things about the book is that it resorts throughout to convoluted reasoning and scripture misapplication.

This book has incredibly sloppy proof-texting which can be found throughout the book. Whenever Reagan wants to make a point, he goes fishing for a verse. When he finds it, he reels it in and applies it to the passage under consideration, whether it is related to that passage or not.

It's filled with strange and strained Logic grasping at straws in the wind! Two final observations. First, beware of Lone Ranger interpretations of prophecy that are not widely shared. God does not reveal the meaning of prophecy only to a person or two. 2 Peter 1:20 says, "no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation." Private and peculiar interpretations like the recent "Pre-Wrath Rapture," usually make a big initial splash and then fade quickly when submitted to critical review.

Second, I think the current rush to find America in the Bible is a classic example of newspaper exegesis -- of reading the news headlines into the Bible rather than letting the Bible speak for itself. It would be good to keep in mind a comment made by the great Bible teacher Ray Stedman: "What determines the future is what God has done in the past and what He has promised to do in the future. So don't look horizontally at current events."

One odd belief held by David Reagan is that there is no eternal punishment in hell, he then twists Scripture by stating "the Bible teaches the unrighteous will be resurrected, judged, punished in Hell for a period of time proportional to their sins..."

"a period of time? This is a view bordering on heresey. Making such applications on Scripture parallels Islamic views not Christianity. Perhaps Reagan would be better off converting to Islam or defending their theology. In one argument I read on Prophezine.com he states that Muslims do cannot worship a man. The man either is in need of retirement or has quite a few loose screws.
