I paid a small fortune to get this to the UK, and I have to say it was worth every penny...who wouldn't want a bit of colbert every day??!!!

The calendar was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son, whi is a huge Stephen Colbert fan. He loves it! Every morning I can hear him chuckling as he rips off the previous day's page; I'm sure he starts off his day in a great mood. Although not well versed in Colbert humor myself, I also enjoy his rather unusual take on everyday life.

not his best work,

this is a funny book, but if you like this writing style and haven't read america the book first you will still think this is funny. I read "America The Book" first, arguably the funniest book in existence, and by comparison I was not impressed with this. "I Am America" is a good book but it was so similar to "America The Book" that it seemed like a low quality sequel movie where they changed lead actors and got a new director.

Not Nearly As Funny As I Expected It To Be,

I've seen a few of Colbert's shows and really enjoyed his Christmas special, but his calendar just doesn't hit the mark with me. Maybe 1 out of ten is funny. I'm used to Dilbert calendars where the opposite is true. Maybe 1 out of ten doesn't click. This is definitely not worth the money unless you are a Colbert fanatic who thinks everything he says is great. As I read a long time ago "If this is the kind of thing you like, then you'll like this." Not me.

Lost in translation,

I bought this because I thought it would be sarcastic and slightly informative, like Colbert's show. His humor doesn't translate well on paper, you can't taste the sarcasm like you can on the show. I bought this calendar for my desk in hopes that it would be witty and clever, but it's really just offensive (and I'm not easily offended). It was a huge mistake and now I just keep it in my drawer. While it does bring the occasional smile, it's not something I can share and laugh about with my co-workers (in my opinion the essence of a good desk calendra). The actual item was in perfect condition and the service was great so I'm not knocking that, but I wouldn't recommend this purchase to the most avid Colbert fan.
