Today 2009 this book explains the repeat of history that is presently taking place and what is now happening to our economy. "America in depression The coming economic Collapse" the writing is an easy, understandable read based on 500 years of historical facts and U.S. Bureau of Census data from 1970-1992 and other sources. This is a base read for all, if you want a good base understanding of how we got here and how congress has positioned us over the decades to fail. You may not like what you will hear but you will recognize that this may not be far from the truth. This book hits the nail on the head, more so today then in 1993 when it was first written.

Dr. von feldt does a great job at explaining, in plain English, how and why we are in this mess. The acompaning charts help the reader visualize what the text is about and reinforce the text as well. History is just repeating itself over and over. Great book, very informative, and very easy to read and understand!

It was used for a Money and Credit class and had a lot of useful information. Very good book and I recommend it to anyone!
