This canister is as attractive as it is useful. We have put q-tips and cotton balls and baking soda in it and will find many more uses, I am sure. It is a good weight and goes very well with the other pieces that are in the line.

The print is off!! The entire logo on the front was printed on a slant...Very dissappointed. Never again will I purchase online...tried it once, was very unhappy with both of my purchases.

I purchased the medium ceramic canister and was absolutely delighted with its 'look'. Exactly what I'd hoped. However, the top did not fit firmly and so I had to improvise with a rubber lining. Much more frustrating though - I had the piece for about 2-1/2 months when I found a chip and long crack which made it virtually unusable. As others have said, this is not a well made item for daily use.

I like the way it looks and it certainly is sturdy, but the picture is misleading as mine did not come with the lid pictured with it. All I received was the bottom piece. I would return it, but Amazon returns are slow and I don't want to have an incomplete set in the meantime.

I love this set . . . I purchase it at Bloomingdale's and realized it was cheaper at on Amazon. This is beautiful and elegant piece. It has a antique feel too it (Old England style). I am very pleased with my purchase.

I bought the medium and small canisters plus the soap dispenser for my bathroom with a Parisian theme. Since the writing on them is French and they have a distinctly French feel, they looked wonderful. After about a week I accidentally knocked the soap pump into the sink and took a chunk out of the bottom. The pieces are ceramic and break/chip very easily. After having them just a few months I picked up the small canister one day to clean and dropped it. It broke into about a million pieces. While the canisters and soap pump are really cute and seem to be well made, they are awfully pricey for something that breaks so easily. I never did replace the broken canister. I figure that I'm clumsy and it may happen again. If you're clumsy too I would think twice before getting these.

I saw these at pottery barn and had to have them. I then stumbled upon them at amazon for 1/2 of the price. They are high quality and unique pieces!
