In this challenging new book the author assembles numerous prophecies not readily available previously. In doing so, he combines newly collected prophetic statements from respected LDS sources with other supporting prophetic utterances from outside of Mormondom. Together, they strengthen the message of previously available prophetic warnings - that America must soon face a period of crisis, with perils both from within and abroad. Prophecies indicate that when the crises come, many will be destroyed, famine and disease will be prevalent, and there will be great mourning throughout the land. They will occur prior to and during the building of the New Jerusalem in Jackson County, Missouri. During this time, the Rocky Mountains and other areas will be places of refuge for the Saints. Warnings of a foreign attack on America are discussed, including specific American cities and military targets that are expected to be its focus, according to the prophetic warnings. The book is intended to inform the Saints so they can prepare. But this book looks beyond this catastrophic period, showing that America is a land of divine destiny - place of promise and inheritance for a portion of the House of Israel. It also explains that when the earth receives its paradisiacal glory, special requirements will fall on the members of the Church who then live upon the Land of Promise.

About the Author
David N. Balmforth, a native of Eastern Idaho, has lived in the Shelley area for much of his life on a small farm overlooking the Snake River. He attended Ricks College for a year and a half before entering the workforce and starting his family. Mr. Balmforth married Margaret (Peggy) J. Adams, formerly of Seattle Washington. She is a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served a mission for the Church in Chile. They are the parents of seven children. David has served in many Church positions. In particular, he has been active as a Stake Missionary, serving as a Seventy, Ward Mission Leader, Stake Mission Secretary, and as a counselor in the Shelley, Idaho, Stake Mission Presidency. He is an active participant in local and county politics. He has served as Precinct Committeeman, County Vice Chairman, and as a delegate to the State Convention for his political party. In addition to America's Coming Crisis: Prophetic Warnings, Divine Destiny, Brother Balmforth has written New Age Menace: The Secret War Against the Followers of Christ, also published by Horizon Publishers. His studies and monitoring of worldwide governments and international organizations have led him to be concerned that there are a large number of Saints who are unaware of the stated intentions of Eastern Bloc governments and of their stated but concealed plans to gain control of America and the Western World.

The knowledge here lends greater credence to HOW some of the "signs of the time's" will come to pass. This knowledge has cause me to realize that the stage is set and the lights are being turned up everyday. Fast reading but needless to say, it will cause your eyes to open wide..

A very good read. Wish more would read matierial like this. Has a very good grasp of the subject. An important read for LDS readers.
