This is a great cd of American music with excellent sound and performances. I bought it because there are pieces on here that are hard to find anywhere else, in particular the Pavane from Morton Gould's Symphonette.

Just recieved this CD today, a few days away from the 4th. My favorites on this CD are Stars and Stripes Forever and The Star Spangled Banner. All the versions of these patriotic songs on this CD sound alive and boisterous, just in time to celebrate the Fourth of July.
