I'm taking Leland Roth's American Architecture class. I was worried about having to use his book for the class, but it turns out to be a very well written, interesting look at the history of American Architecture. Chapters are laid out in a well thought out manner and the pictures and drawings make for a more engaging read. I highly recommend this book for anyone who would like to know more about the built environment around them.

I got this for a class I was taking. It is very handy. I like the fact that it is full of information as well as lots of photos that go along with the text. If you are looking for a book on the history of American Architecture, this is it. It does cover the Native Americans, ad covering each of the cultures that came to this land is well organized. It is a very informative book.

Roth demonstrates his knowledge of American architecture time and time again with relevant in depth content for architecture in the United states as well as the origins of the styles used. In a nutshell, indispensable!

Judging from a few signs of turning pages, the first 63 pages has been read...Otherwise I'd think the book is completely new. Great.
