I bought a few receiving blankets for my newborn.. This was one of the ones I bought. I like it, but even after a few washings its still scratchy on his new skin. I am not truly happy with it and I would not buy these again.

I am glad I also bought the organic receiving blankets from this same company and Hudson for a couple dollars more and OMG, those are so soft and a little bigger then these, that I did go back and buy more.. Those I can also use for swaddling and feel great about their softness and feel even better because they are organic.

I use these receiving blankets as burp cloths and over the basinet, but not against my newborns soft skin.

A good buy, but not what I was looking for in a receiving blanket.. I want soft and these are just not soft..

Great blanket! Perfect for swaddling -- especially "the super swaddle" (check out youtube video) the blanket is soft, but strong and perfectly stretchy.

These blankets are so nice in the beginning, when you are still learning to swaddle your baby! I like the waffle texture, it gives some elasticity to the fabric, and this helps a lot when you barely know what to do... They are soft and hug-able. I gave them 4 stars tough, because from the two I purchase (one ecru and one blue), one got the hem unraveled after the second wash. The other is still holding nicely after 5 months of use.

After buying this blanket in another color, I was so happy with my purchase that I bought several more in other colors. These blankets are soft and cuddly...perfect for my grandchildren! They hold up very well wash after wash.

Very thin and not what I expected. OK for daily use. Do not give as a gift. The color was nice.

Blanket is extremely thin. Would work as a receiving blanket but not much of a baby blanket a child would sleep with. It wasn't clear from the description that it was intended to be a receiving blanket until the product was delivered.

Someone gave us a baby blanket like this 5 years ago with our first child and then our second child took to it as her own "blankey". Sadly, it has started looking a bit the worse for wear and we worried that it might be good to have a substitute around in case the favourite should ever go missing or completely self-destruct. Fortunately, this one seems exactly the same.

We loved swaddling the babies in this blanket because it was a bit stretchy, so you could swaddle pretty snug without completely constricting the child. I guess there are the new swaddle blankets with velcro that are even better for swaddling, but perhaps awkward as a favourite "blankey". Love it.

This blanket is great for everyday use and swaddling. The celery color is very gender neutral, and the fabric seems durable. Great purchase for price point.

I got the celery color and very pleased with it. Although this is NOT a blanket it is more of a receiving blanket. I got it for my puppy to use in his crate. I'm looking to buy these for a coming up baby shower. High quality and so soft.

This is a great thermal blanket. Size is just right. It is soft to the touch. I added lavender satin blanket binding to personalize it. My niece just loved it.
