So, the other review for this product really made me hesitate to order it because I thought it was going to end up being something other than what it says it is. IT IS EXACTLY what it says, a waterproof, quilted, bassinet mattress pad. Yes, it has elastic around it so it "covers" the mattress. Don't let a negative review discourage you from ordering this if you want something that will add padding and comfort to your bassinet! Fits great and works great!

this pad is exactly what i was looking for, but it didn't fit my oval bassinet pad from The First Years Carry Me Near 5 In 1 Bassinet.

American Baby Company ONLY makes bassinet mattress pad cover in RECTANGULAR PADS, not oval pads.

the top of the pad is cotton and the bottom is vinyl ... the vinyl had a strong plastic smell when i took it out of its package... but i'm sure the smell will fade after a washing. it's not as padded as i thought it would be, but it will do for the price.

and yes, it's made in China.

My daughter splept like an angel with this cover. It really adds padding to the mattress.

I ordered a Tadpoles polka dot micro fleece moses basket, and this waterproof mattress pad cover.

The moses basket mattress was 10" x 28" and this pad was 15" x 33", so is too large and I am returning it today.

The product arrived as scheduled. The material is very nice and thick but does not fit nicely the 15x33x2 mattress for cradle as described in product review. It was a tight fit before wash, after 1st wash cover shrank and now the mattress bows... not a very good product for this size mattress. Does not measure up to product description.

This cove fits our bassinet perfectly and adds a little extra padding for our baby girl. Very comfortable, she sleeps soundly, and no worries about leaks on the mattress as the cover is waterproof. I highly recommend this cover.

This is an OK product but what can you expect for this price point.

Very cheap looking and thin. But better than nothing, I guess.

I guess the name was just too long to add "cover" at the end, because that's what it is, a mattress pad cover, NOT a mattress pad.

I bought two of these just in case before I delivered the baby. My baby started sleeping in her big crib at 6 weeks so we never used this mattress pad in her bassinet. We bought two sets of sheets and never needed the pads. I didn't find it personally useful.
