5.0 out of 5 stars Very Informative, October 16, 2011
This review is from: American Baseball. Vol. 2: From the Commissioners to Continental Expansion (American Baseball Series) (Paperback)
Picking up where his Volume 1 left off, author Voigt continues the history of baseball in the US. This book has two main sections. The first is Baseball's Silver Age, which covers roughly from the turn of the century to the Black Sox scandal of 1919. The second and longer section is Baseball's Second Golden Age, which covers the period from the rise of Ruth to the mid 1950s and continental expansion. A very enjoyable, informative book.
