This is a wonderful book, full of nice clear pictures of the dolls, accessories, and clothing- including unmarked dolls that are often unidentified or misidentified.
This is a MUST have book for any doll collector!

A most comprehensive and well-researched book! Having contributed to the Tressy section of the book (look for pics from my collection!), I must say that this guide is a must have for Tressy collectors as well as for those who collect other American character dolls.

American Character Dolls by Judith Izen is a book you don't want to miss! Any doll collector or doll lover will find this book to be one of the best you will ever read. What a treasure and invaluable tool for the collector. Such a nice touch to have a signed book by this author. Very fast shipping. I highly recommend this book.

This book is well worth it for doll people. We have needed a book on these dolls for so long, and Judith Izen has created a wonderful volume of information. Great pictures and text! And Judy autographs the book and ships very fast!

Judith Izen has written another wonderful book! For collectors of American Character dolls, it's a book that needs to be on your bookshelf. It's well written and researched with great photographs. We can only hope that Ms. Izen will continue to share her love and knowledge of dolls with more books.

This is a great detailed book featuring many of the beloved American Character dolls! It has helped me tremendously with my doll collection.

My favorite doll manufacture of the fifties. Pictures are big enough to see detail and descriptions are well done. Value guide current and realistic. As these are the dolls of my childhood I never tire of looking at dolls I held, dressed and loved. Has been great to identify dolls in my collection and recognizing original clothing styles if doll needs re-dressing, styling of hair and accessories. A must have for lovers of these beautiful dolls.

Anything by Judith Izen is terrific and this did not disappoint. Great pictures and information. A must for every doll collector's book library.
