All you need,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ford GT40 an Anglo American Competition Classic (Marques & Models) (Hardcover)
Tecnical info, a race/development history, chassis record. Even a brief look at the replicas. If you could wish for something more it would be better picture reproduction.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ford GT40 an Anglo American Competition Classic (Marques & Models) (Hardcover)
If this were a less expensive book the rating would go to 3-4 stars but compared to books of similar subject matter (Porsche 917: The Winning Formula) the photographs are not very good and the paper and printing process is at best mediocre. To add insult to injury, the book is more than "Porsche 917". I purchased this book as reference for model building. It is some help in this respect. But the paucity of color photos and the poor resolution cause me to downrate this book.

A Fine Book -- More Context Would Be Nice,
This review is from: Ford GT40 an Anglo American Competition Classic (Marques & Models) (Hardcover)
If I could wish for more, it would be more context. It would be nice to have seen some better coverage of races outside of Le Mans, and more coverage of the principal opponents. It's a little like looking at the world with GT40 tunnel vision. Of course I shouldn't complain too much, this is a comprehensive history of the GT40 afterall.

Ford GT40 an Anglo American Competition Classic(Marques & Models) David Hodges,Revised Edition 1998,19 color images,131 black and white.,176 pages,2nd edition 1998,Small hardcover:
I am not a Ford Fan by any means, nor A GT40 or Cobra Fan,But I checked it out from the library and thought it was insightful on The GT(Basically A Lola GT with a ford in it,there was one Lola gt that escaped with a Chevy-John Mecom, Except the MKIV which was all American). Focuses on Le Mans, short book, not many color photos, does have a List of Cars Built and current owners at the time if available,Chapter on Replicas(KJV,Safir,GTD40),on Derivatives such as The Mirage/Gulf Cars.Covers The Underpowered and impractical street cars. All in All good for the Racing fan and especially the Blue Oval Guys,If I'd get a GT40,I put in GM/Chevy Engine in it and parts!

Ford GT40,
This review is from: Ford GT40 an Anglo American Competition Classic (Marques & Models) (Hardcover)
I purchased this book as a referance for building a model of this car. I found the book to be very helpful for that purpose and as an intersting book to read about Le Mans race cars. I would like to recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the world of racing.
