This is one of the best books written on the subject in years! It is very detailed and full of color photos of these great old toy soldiers. If you have this book and Richard O'Briens...thats all you need as a resource on the subject!

This book is a necessity for anyone that wants to buy, sell or collect early toy soldiers. Easy to find what you are looking for.

When it comes to toy collections, Norman Joplin is the master of the subject and this book is another great example... Great photos, lots of info.

Bought this for my brother-in-law who has been collecting lead/tin figures for years. When he opened it he told me this was the only book he owned that was specific for American figures. He especially liked the full color photos throughout the book. I had no idea where to begin purchasing the figures he collects since I do not know "knockoffs" from the real deal. When I came across this book I knew I had found just the right gift for him!
