I ordered these specifically because I needed 100mm petri dishes -- not 90mm, which are useless to me.

I received the package very quickly and was looking forward to completing my project using these, only to find they were only 90mm in diameter (at their widest point on the lid). Despite the box label listing them as 100mm, which was clearly a mistake, I decided to find out if it was just a one-off mistake and went through Amazon's replacement customer service (no complaints at all with that process; the service agent was very apologetic, polite and helpful) hoping to receive the actual item I'd ordered the second time around.

Again, they arrived in a very short time...but again, they are 90mm petri dishes marked as 100mm. I don't know where the screw up is happening along the line here, but I now have 20 petri dishes that are totally useless to me and I've already used up my patience trying to fix the issue.

If you're not looking for a specific size petri dish, these seem fine. A one star review is harsh considering that they're relatively decent other than being mislabeled and the wrong size, but since they're 100% useless to me, it's the only review I can reasonably give.

These are far from scientific level dishes. Not sterile. How can you call these culture dishes when they are not sterile. Good for storage or arts and crafts but not anything science related. Guess it never occurred to me that this was a possibility. When you use the term "culture" one assumes they are sterile. Very disappointed. I would be sending them back for a refund if it wasn't absolutely necessary for me to have them today. Just gonna have to make double the cultures and hope one takes with no contaminates then get some real dishes from somewhere else to transfer to and expand my culture. These dishes have cost me a lot of time and money. Will order from a real scientific source in the future. Wish I didn't have to use them or I would be returning them for a refund. TAKE THE TERM CULTURE OUT OF THE DESCRIPTION

I purchased these to use with my watercolor paints. They were just what I wanted.
Shipping took longer than I expected but I received a notice from Amazon the delay was due to weather related problems. This was not a problem

These grow bacteria just as well as petri dishes costing much more. Perfect for those school projects. Get these and learn that your kitchen sponge has more bacteria than your toilet bowl.

I worked summer school this year and was introduced to a light table. I went onto pinterest and found all sorts of ways to use the light table. One of these were to use petri dishes and put colored water in it, then you can show the kids how colors change when added to another color! I am excited to try this.

I purchased these for use as pot saucers for 3 inch flower pots. They work fine for that purpose. I cannot say how they work as Petri Dishes.
