5.0 out of 5 stars Michelsen's calculations are accurate and easy to use!
I have used Michelsen's Ephemerii for 20 years. They are accurate, and easy to use. Even in this age of computer charting, it's very handy to track the progress of the planets day-to-day or month-to-month.

3.0 out of 5 stars necessary reference
This is a necessary reference book for all astrologers. Unfortunately it is very badly bound and falls apart easily.

5.0 out of 5 stars Verifiably Accurate, Concise and Easy to Use, September 22, 1999

This review is from: The American Ephemeris for the 21st Century: 2000 to 2050 at Midnight (Paperback)
As a master astrologer with over 15 years experience, I have reviewed many such reference materials. Michelsen's Ephemeris is unrivaled by similar books in its catagory. The Sidereal data is presented in a complete, efficient and reliable manner. This guide is also easy and effortless to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must For Any Astrologer, July 10, 2003

This review is from: The American Ephemeris for the 21st Century: 2000 to 2050 at Midnight (Paperback)
I have two (2) expensive astrology computer programs and still rely on The American Ephemeris for daily information. No astrologer, novice or professional, should be without it. I handicap sports utilizing astrology and it has been of tremendous help to me. The only drawback I can find is it only lists Chiron's positions on a monthly basis and not on a daily basis. Outside of that I feel the book is a "must have" for the astrology library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Required Reference For the Serious Astrologer, January 15, 2001

If you are studying astrology, you will buy this book. Period. The only other option is to shell out a large pile of money for a computer and astrology software and hope for the best. This is an excellent reference document.

I would not, however, recommend this as light reading for the beach or an easy brief read in the john.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Must-Have Reference, May 31, 2006
By
This review is from: The American Ephemeris for the 21st Century: 2000 to 2050 at Midnight (Paperback)
I've been ordering reports from Neil Michelsen for over 30 years. In my opinion, this book is crucial for a beginner to professional... practicing astrology. My white cover copy is put away for good. I've been lost for six years looking up details here and there on the Internet.

I like being able to copy a page, blow it up and keep it with my worn-out Robert Hand's PIT. I especially like the shaded area for planets in retrograde. I don't know about the flaws mentioned, but this book is accurate enough for me and is a bargain to boot for what you get.

As a serious astrologer I have hundreds of dollars worth of astrological software, but I also have this excellent ephemeris. No astrologer should be without it.

Nevertheless, it does have one flaw: it does not list latitudes for the moon and planets, and latitudes do have a valid place in modern astrology -- although this fact, regrettably, is not yet widely recognized. The lack of latitudes is the reason I have given only four stars to this excellent ephemeris. In all other respects it is definitely worth five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nothing to compare it to, May 3, 2005
By
Ann Blessing (Columbus OH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The American Ephemeris for the 21st Century: 2000 to 2050 at Midnight (Paperback)
And that's a problem. The Midnight edition of this fine ephemeris is sadly flawed in the first two revised editions, but the flaws may not be obstacles for astrologers using the data. In the first revised edition, the solar eclipse data was not converted to time, and in the second revised edition that corrected those errors, several years of data (2031-33) is missing. Therefore, get the newest edition and use it for a lifetime. The timing of heavenly events is fine-tuned in each edition, and it is a great reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Planetary Reference, September 29, 2000
This review is from: The American Ephemeris for the 21st Century: 2000 to 2050 at Midnight (Paperback)
This book is a must have for anybody that has the awareness of planetary influences, in a particular position and sign in the sky. The book is very informative and the daily references on the bottom of each page makes it easy to see what cycles, motions and signs that each planet is changing to. MUST HAVE BOOK!

This is a very, very good book to have on hand to find the planets, moon, and sun signs for friends, relatives, co-workers, and such. Excellent reference guide to use.
