Just installed 3 of these in our house. As another reviewer said installation is "easy with two people", a little trickier when you do it yourself but still not too bad. They're quite bright and IMHO stylish. We like them so much we're getting their oval version American Fluorescent CSV3232NT Contemporary Flush Mount, Nickel Finish Trim Bands, 32-Inches long 18-Inches wide for another location.

Additional note: after having these up for 10 days, I went to turn one on and it "flashed" once and then failed to come on at all. Now I have to determine if it is the bulbs or the transformer. The others we have up are fine, but a 1 in 3 chance of burn-in death is why I lowered my review from 5 to 3 stars.

This ceiling fixture installs easily (with two people) and has stylish looks. It appears to be well designed with a large internal starter/ballast. One of the two bulbs was not functioning so we had to get a replacement (they seem to be commonly available) before we could tell if it was the fixture or the bulb - a nuisance.

We were so impressed with the brightness that we ordered two more for another house. They seemed to have improved bulbs.

Note that this is a huge fixture. Please be smarter than me and check the dimensions. Also I purchased two of these and neither fit but the company was very difficult to work with and would not accept the unused return (without us paying as much to return the item as we paid for it). I learned that just because you bought something from Amazon does not mean you have the Amazon return guarantee. Hard lesson learned. And now I have two $60 fixtures in my house that I can not use. This said, the light itself is nice.

The first time I ordered this light fixture, it arrived with one of the light bulbs completely shattered. I returned it immediately and was sent a new fixture the next day. Very fast service! It looks just like it is pictured and even though the dome is plastic and the whole thing lightweight, it does not look cheap. I was looking forward to having it in my kitchen.

My only problem with this light is that it says inside that it must be attached to a GROUNDED outlet. I'm not sure when grounding all outlets became code, but my house was built in 1955 and does not have ground wires at the outlets. At great expense we have grounded a few of the our outlets but it would cost a lot of money to ground this particular outlet in the kitchen ceiling. I have had to return it.
