decent fixture for awkward location,

I installed one of these in my bathroom -- the electrical box is directly over a surface-mount medicine cabinet and I was having trouble finding a fixture with a deep enough mounting bracket so that the light would project over the cabinet instead of just shining on the top of it. This one works quite well in that location. It's not obvious from the photo, but the bottom of the diffuser is completely enclosed, not open like a bell. This means the light diffuses through the whole tube rather than being focused out the bottom. The single bulb (pin-type fluorescent) emits plenty of light for a small bathroom.
Watch out for loose mounting hardware in the box when you unpack it. I thought it was missing some washers until I searched through all the packing material again. |
