4.0 out of 5 stars An "American" Classic Finally Released in US, September 10, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: American Flyer (Audio CD)
Wait to buy this CD. In late October, Collectors' Choice is releasing it (via their web site) in the US as a two-fer, combining it with American Flyer's second album, Spirit of a Woman. The disc will list for under $20, less than a fourth the cost of purchasing the two Japanese imports.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome album, March 28, 2002

Great album, produced by George Martin, all solid tracks. My favorite track "m" written and performed by Steve Katz of BS&T fame, is a masterpiece. Back in '57 is also a strong Katz effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Album Got Me Through the 70's, August 14, 2003

Every track is a standout. I remember the long summer of 1977 slow dancing with my girlfriend 'til past midnight to the dreamy strains of this album. Very smooth and lyrical. The words go straight to your heart. "Queen of All My Days" and "Back in '57" are chilling. This album, an import, is well worth the price.
Note: this band was a short-lived stepchild to Pure Prairie League, so expect the same clean vocals and expert acoustic instrumentation. The band is less country and more jazzy, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars craig fuller is the highlight by far, October 25, 2005
This review is from: American Flyer (Audio CD)
why craig fuller was never huge is beyond me. that he is not everyone's highlight of this album is also beyond me. light of your love, such a beautiful feeling, woman in you heart, let me down easy, and his reading of fellow flyer eric kaz' love has no pride are soaring, perfect pieces of country rock and almost as good as amie, fuller's song from pure prairie league, that still stands as the best ever of the genre. fuller sings with little feat lately, but is one of four singers in that group.
