4.0 out of 5 stars A quality reference on American furniture, October 20, 2009

This review is from: American Furniture: 1620 To the Present (Hardcover)
This has always been a great reference on American furniture and draws from museum and private collections for examples. Chapters broken up by periods.
There is much useful information related to design and construction. This was the first book I bought for my son when he began collecting seriously. We went to the MFA to view many of the finer examples in the book and wouldn't you know it - the galleries were/are closed for a major renovation. Not necessarily for the advanced collector, but certainly for everyone else.
