Great Starting Point,

This is a great starting point for anyone interested in the lives of those men who were American Generals during the Revolutionary War. The author uses many sources to compile his list -- including Heitman's legendary work from the 1890's. But I find that a few well known officers are omitted -- such as General Charles Scott. How and why he would leave this officer out of his work in unknown as his promtions to Brigadier General and Brevet Major General are well documented. Overall though this is an excellent work although I give it only 4 stars as being way too expensive and lacking in portraits and longer details.
