this doll looks so pretty. i did not know that amazon decided to sell american girl dolls but anyway..... order them from the american girl website. the doll book and accessories is 102 dollars there, not 200+ dollars like it is here. You could also she her other outfits.... she is so pretty

My 11 year old daughter just got Mia for Christmas and she just LOVES her! The reason Mia is so expensive is because she is no longer available. Mia was the doll of the year for American Girl for 2008. Anything that has to do with Mia will be over priced. She is beautiful, but so are all the American Girl dolls. Our 6 year old got Julie Albright for Christmas and I'd suggest her for girls. Julie has straight blonde hair and is MUCH easier to take care of. Good luck getting any of Mia's things for the "regular" price now that she's retired. I would suggest getting another doll for your daughter so you can collect all the accessories and clothes at a reasonable price. If you have Mia, consider yourself lucky...she is worth a LOT of money now! Mia is now a collector's item. American Girl has a new girl of the year for 2009 and she's beautiful too!

My fiance ordered this doll for me, as an early Christmas present. I was so ecstatic b/c one of my hobbies is collecting dolls-preferably Barbie, and Ag dolls-
He ordered it from a seller who went by the screen name VICTORIASCLOSET, all the letters were uppercase so that's why I typed the name that way, not yelling,lol.
Ok so my fiance ordered this doll on Oct. 31 it's been two months now and we've just found out that the seller who was supposedly selling the doll was a fraud, & that he/she had no doll to sell! So now I have to wait until Jan.9th or 10th for my fiance to be reimbursed so that he then can have the money to buy my much awaited Mia doll! I just hope the next seller we choose is trustworthy, and legitimate! ( I gave 5 star ratings for the doll, even though I don't own her as of yet, but the dolls I've got from amazon in the past were in mint condition so I expect no less when I do end up getting her.)

On the American Girl website this same package is $90 for the Mia doll and $28 for the skate accessories.

Why is it over $100 more here on Amazon?

Fishy...
