American Girl Kit Mystery Challenge

I got this game for Christmas last year. I was so excited. It was exactly what I wanted. That is until I started playing. At first it was easy enough to think you could finish the mystery. But after a certain point I couldn't go any further with the mystery. The game wouldn't let me. I couldn't even say what I thought was the solution. I am so disappointed that I think I should throw it out.

This is purchased as a gift for our daughter. She enjoyed "Kit" the movie. Pleasantly, the plot is completely different from the movie. A definate favorite for any 9-12 year old who likes "Kit" and all those "American Girl" books.

My daughters love this game. It is tricky enough to make it challenging but easy enough for them to do alone. There is a lot of reading with it so for my little one who doesn't read, I had to help out more.

My daughter (7 yrs) loves the game and I love that she has to read and think to find the clues... it's challenging for her. The only problem is that the clues don't stay on long enough for her to finish reading. (even though she reads at a 5th grade level she doesn't read fast)

great after you go down stairs from the attic! you get a notebook and you get to choose who you think did it. I'm not done with it yet but it's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My duaghter just got this game for her ninth birthday. She is a huge AG fan and has read all the books multiple times. She was very excited about this game. It was a bit of challenge for her to solve the mystery, but after I gave her a few suggestions she was able to move on and solve the first mystery and felt very good about it! You definately need good reading skills as is stated on the packaging.

MY DAUGHTER WHO IS 8 AND WILL BE 9 SOON IS A BIG AMERICAN GIRL FAN, ESPECIALLY KIT. WHEN SHE FIRST GOT IT SHE THOUGHT THE GAME WAS A LITTLE HARD AND NEEDED SOME HELP SOLVING THE MYSTERIES. BUT AFTER SOME PRACTICE ON HER OWN, SHE HAS BEEN ABLE TO MAKE GREAT STRIDES ALL BY HERSELF PLAYING THIS GAME. SHE READS WELL FOR HER AGE, SO THAT DOES HELP. I WOULD SAY DEFINATELY 8 AND UP WOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS GAME. ONCE AGAIN IT IS A LITTLE CONFUSING AT FIRST BUT AFTER YOU PLAY IT A FEW TIMES, YOU GET THE HANG OF IT. MY DAUGHTER ALSO OWNS THE AMERICAN GIRL JULIE GAME TOO. THEY TOTALLY TWO DIFFERENT GAMES. I THINK THEY DID A NICE JOB ON BOTH OF THEM. YOUR AMERICAN GIRL FAN WOULD ENJOY BOTH OF THESE GAMES. EVEN THOUGH MY DAUGHTER HAS SOLVED AT LEAST 3 OF THE MYSTERIES SHE STILL ENJOYS PLAYING THIS GAME OVER AND OVER AGAIN. SO, IF YOU OWN THIS OR ARE CONSIDERING PURCHASING THIS ITEM, JUST REMEMBER IN THE LONG RUN, WITH MUCH PRACTICE, YOUR DAUGHTER OR EVEN SON WILL APPRECIATE IT. DON'T GIVE UP! I TELL THEM. MY SON ACTUALLY LIKES PLAYING IT TOO, HE IS ALMOST 6 (BUT NEEDS SOMEONE TO HELP HIM WITH THE READING PARTS. GRAPHICS ARE VERY WELL DONE. GIVE THIS ONE A TRY, ITS REALLY A GREAT GAME.

I was amazed to find this game! It arrived in perfect timing. My oldest son deleted everything off of it for his sister on her birthday. That's the only thing I would request, if you are selling a used game, please delete prior saves.

I'm stuck on Mystery 3 and can't continue. It says I have to talk to people and I've talked to everyone. Mystery 1 was a little tricky until I got the hang of it. Mystery 2 was pretty easy. I'm worried about Mystery 4, 5, and 6. Maybe I should throw this away and not even try those before I get more frustrated.

I am an American Girl Fan. You don't very often see products like this that are doll oriented. It is easy and fun to play.
